Jesus came so that all may have life and have it to the full. As bearers of Christ’s love, we are called to faithfully present the liberating message of the Gospel to the children and young people in our schools, and provide a hope-filled alternative to narratives that undermine students’ sense of value, self-worth, and confidence.
Catholic schools are a key part of the evangelising mission of the Church and their first aim is to support the holistic formation and growth in faith of each student. This is best achieved through invitation to a personal encounter with Jesus, meaningful engagement with the traditions of the Church, and participation in God’s mission through outreach and service to others.
Our Catholic schools must be at least the equal of all other schools in the quality of education provided to our students. We are called to engage all students by setting high expectations and providing effective learning experiences that recognise diversity and optimise every student’s academic potential and life opportunity.

Integrity is the consistent demonstration of truth irrespective of circumstance or consequence. It is expressed in openness and transparency of speech, behaviours, and decision-making.

Justice is attention to all perspectives that enable equity. It is expressed in structural and procedural fairness in both decision-making and the treatment of others.
“Jesus said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and with all your mind.” This is the greatest and the first commandment. The second is like it: “You shall love your neighbour as yourself.”

Compassion is recognising the truth of other people's lives. It is expressed in actions that encourage growth and protect the dignity of others.
