We understand that every child is unique, and we can all use a little extra help at times. That's why our Catholic schools are committed to providing a nurturing environment where every student feels valued and supported. Our dedicated teachers and specialist staff share a deep desire to care for and include all members of our school communities.
Our Catholic tradition teaches us that every person is created in the image of God and deserving of love and respect. In our schools, this means celebrating each child, ensuring they feel accepted, included, and empowered to reach their full potential.
High-quality education for every student
Across our community of schools, you'll find dedicated support for students with disability and other diverse needs, personalised plans for those needing minor adjustments, and opportunities for high potential and gifted students to extend their abilities.
We believe that diversity enriches our community and our schools reflect the diversity of the families we serve. Whether your child has additional learning or behavioural needs, is living with disability, is gifted, or is learning English as an additional language, we offer an integrated approach that fosters collaboration between teachers, therapists, and families to provide wraparound assistance to help them thrive.
English as an Additional Language or Dialect
Students with English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D) enrich the cultural diversity of our school communities. We are committed to providing support for EAL/D students as they strive in their development of English through speaking, listening, reading and writing. EAL/D teachers support students and their schools through tailored English language pedagogy, assisting in students’ learning and language development through the curriculum.
Supporting high potential and gifted students
High potential and gifted students have unique learning styles and may need a different approach to the usual curriculum. This could involve changes to how fast they learn, the complexity of what they learn, and the topics they cover.
Across our Catholic schools, we believe in differentiating learning to make sure each student receives the best support for their specific abilities and interests. To support students identified as high potential or gifted, teachers might adapt lesson plans to suit their needs, allow them to study material designed for older year groups, or focus specifically on areas where they need further development.
Finding the right fit for your child
We're committed to walking alongside you and your child, providing the resources and support needed to ensure a positive and fulfilling school experience.
If your child has specific needs, we encourage you to reach out to your local Catholic school to learn more about the support they offer. You can also share your child's needs on their enrolment application form. We welcome all applications and will work with you to find the best fit for your child's unique learning journey.
If your child is already enrolled in one of our schools, you can always access support as new needs arise. We encourage you to talk to your Catholic school about the best way to support your child's ongoing learning and development.
