The Stage 3 Christmas Story Art competition and exhibition provides an opportunity for our Diocese of Wollongong students to reflect upon their understanding and interpretation of the Scripture of Advent and Christmas.
Last Thursday, more than 50 young artists gathered together with family, teachers and other Catholic Education staff, to celebrate the opening of this special event at the Wollongong City Art Gallery.
At the opening, twelve finalists were announced (six from Year 6 and five from Year 5). The artworks of these students were selected to be included in the Sydney Diocese Christmas Story competition and exhibition that opens on the first Sunday of Advent at St Mary’s Cathedral Crypt, Sydney.
